Slogan t-shirts: a summer fashion statement

Statement t-shirts

Making a statement with slogan t-shirts and bold prints.

I haven’t always been known for my fashion nouse, but I have been reliably informed (by Google, but still… ) that this summer is all about making a statement.

Delicate, inoffensive pastel shades are out. Bold prints are in.

And slogan t-shirts are back with a vengeance.

I had already picked one up for William earlier this year, which mixed style with attitude and reflected his cheeky nature perfectly.

And then earlier this week I received a lovely hamper from River Island with this beauty inside for him.

River Island Statement T-shirt

I love the boldness of both the ‘Whatever’ and  ‘Fast cars and caviar’ t-shirts. The black and white colours together make the t-shirts stand out. They’re certainly a fun way to make a statement about your personality.

And these River Island slogan t-shirts are soft. They haven’t scrimped on the quality.

If you fancy making your own statement t-shirt, River Island is giving people the chance to do just that in one week’s time.

They’re the official fashion partner for this year’s Lollibop festival, a 3-day, fun-filled event aimed at the under-tens. Now in its fifth year, it’s being held at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire from Friday 15 until Sunday 17 August. A whole host of celebrities, shows and child-focused companies are involved.

At the festival, you’ll be able to visit River Island’s ‘Design Den’ – in the festival’s Discovery Zone – and create your own t-shirt. The den will have craft stations aimed at different ages and your child will get an allocated time slot to create a fashion masterpiece. When they’ve finished, they can show off their creation on the catwalk and will receive a photograph of them striking a pose to take home.

River Island will also have their latest kidswear and accessories range from their Summer collection available (which I’m sure will include some of their statement t-shirts). You’ll be able to browse and buy in their pop-up shop.

Do you like statement t-shirts or prefer something a little more subtle?

Please note: these clothes were gifts from River Island. Although they were not sent for the purpose of review, I thought I would write about them anyway because I think they are fabulous.

My children and I have been invited to Lollibop to review the event this year. We’re looking forward to visiting the ‘design den’ as well as enjoying its huge array of live shows,  different areas full of activities and zones to chill out in. Tickets are still available and a 4 person family ticket (bought in advance) costs £82.50.

  1. Awesome collection of t-shirts

I love wearing light colour t-shirts along with little bit of printing on it that could indicate something meaningful to viewers. Once I made my own masterpiece using fabric colour and old t-shirt just to try it but I didn’t know that I would become hooked to it and from then I started creating unique design and now I have started my own business of t-shirt printing which is running successfully.
