A woodland walk full of sunshine, mud and bags of fun.
When we want a simple afternoon outdoors, one of our favourite places to visit is our local nature reserve.
It’s such a beautiful place to visit and so quiet and peaceful too. It’s full of woodland walks that can keep you amused for hours and there’s so much space for Olivia and William to run around.
It’s also good for animal spotting – from birds and squirrels to foxes and badgers – and there’s a place to go pond dipping too.
By the end of last week I was itching to get Olivia and William out of the house and into the fresh air.
We’d spent a few days towards the end of week more-or-less confined indoors due to parcel deliveries. I was also acutely aware that the start of the school term begins next week and wanted to make the most of our remaining time together before our regular routine kicks in once again.
And the place that came instantly to mind?
Yep, you guessed it.
We had such a fun afternoon yesterday exploring some of the woodland trails. Best of all, it wore them out so much that they didn’t complain when bedtime rolled around and fell asleep within minutes.
If you have some time to spare, feel free to read about more of our outdoor adventures, which we love to have.
