A special day out and an exciting new range of children’s glasses.
As a working mother, I always feel that stab of parental guilt when I’m not able to do fun things with my children all of the time, especially during the school holidays.
So it’s particularly lovely when I get the chance to do something a bit different with them when I can. We had one such treat last weekend – the chance to visit Disney’s UK HQ in London and watch a special preview of the highly anticipated film, Finding Dory. In 3D no less!
Don’t worry, I’m not about to tell you what happens in the movie, but what I am about to tell you is what a fun time we had thanks to the event’s organiser, Specsavers.
The company has released a new range of Finding Dory-themed children’s glasses which are out now. There are four new frames in total, each with different under-the-sea designs featuring Dory, Nemo and other characters from the film.
William and Olivia – who both now have to wear glasses – couldn’t wait to try on some of the new frames.
They were captivated with the Finding Dory designs, so much so that William asked if he could take some home!
Of course, the fun didn’t end there. There was also some nautical-themed face (and arm) painting that my children took advantage of.
And of course, being Disney’s UK headquarters, there were a couple of ‘special guests’ whom my children couldn’t wait to pose with.
All in all, it was a fantastic day out and I feel so lucky to have experiences like this because of my blog. However, I now have 2 children nagging me for new glasses because they fell in love with the Finding Dory frames – thanks Specsavers!
