Park life

Fun at the park, swings, park life

Time to make the most of the sunshine.

This weekend has been glorious.

We’ve had non-stop sunshine and although we’ve obviously had to be careful because of the heat, my children and I have been making the most of it.

I love flinging open the back doors and windows (with Dave and Bella safely in their garden enclosure of course) and embracing the sunshine. But sometimes garden play just isn’t enough.

Sometimes you just have to pack some snacks and drinks into a bag and head outdoors.

Although we don’t live a million miles from the coast, a trip to the beach was ruled out because of the extreme heat – Olivia in particular didn’t want to travel too far. So we’ve agreed to go another day.

This weekend though has all been about the park.

Twice in 2 days.

These children know how to make the most of the sunshine.

We also made time for some exploring…

Working full-time during the week, I love being able to get out and about with my little family and just have lots of fun doing these ordinary things.

‘Fresh air fun’ is the best!

I’m linking this post to the weekly ‘The Ordinary Moments‘ linky over at Mummy Daddy Me, which is all about celebrating the ordinary moments you’ll treasure forever.

I’m also joining in with the “Country Kids” linky over on the Coombe Mill blog this week.  Click on the badge below to find other great outdoor play posts.

    1. Parks are definitely great. I never think that my children will be entertained for too long, but we could easily spend hours upon hours there.

    1. We’re lucky that we have two parks to choose from. This one is the smaller one and tends to be quieter. It’s was just the three of us for most of the time. In a way, that makes me a little sad…

    1. Yes, it’s been such fantastic weather. I’ve wanted us to try and take advantage whenever possible. Hope your camping adventure goes well and doesn’t end up being a wash-out!

  1. This is what I do as well. Open the door at that back & my son can freely play at our small terrace while I do chores. It is really so lovely and we live near the beach too but we wait till its almost night time before we go there. Its less congested and the sun is more forgiving =) #countrykids
